Al
Black - The Prison Murals
If
it weren’t for his being one of the Highwaymen, Al Black’s
checkered past would have left him in obscurity. But an odd turn
of events has secured his artistic legacy. While serving prison
time, inmate Black was allowed to paint murals--giant versions of
Highwaymen art that depicted idyllic Florida now grace prison walls
with special reverence, given their context.
